Prophecies and Revelations

Kirian opened her eyes slowly as she began to stir awake, she was spooned against Everic's back who had gotten into bed a few hours earlier after having changed Alourdes diaper and putting her back in the crib after she had fallen asleep on his chest. Kirian slowly slide the sheets back as she moved from the bed quietly, not wanting to disturb her husband as she went to go check on their daughter.
As she got closer to the crib, it made her smile as she began hearing the tiny coos and baby grunts as the little baby girl was preparing to cry for her meal. "Mommy's here, baby.." Kirian said softly as she made her way over to the crib which Everic had set up in their bedroom, on Kirian's side of the bed since she was adamant about the baby no sleeping near the entrance of the quarters.

The scratchs and bruises Kirian had obtained while being held hostage had already completely healed, as well as the dislocated shoulder. Due to a strange bit of luck, having gone into labor a month early, Alourdes was small enough to be delivered the natural way without tearing her mother apart due to her own small stature so it seemed as everything had worked out for the best. As she moved towards the crib, she peered down with a smile at the little girl, who was already growing bigger and stronger each day. She was wiggling her hands up at the hanging crib toy which spun big stars planets and moons around slowly, sparkling with a dim but entertaining light for children. It played a soft melody which almost always put Alourdes to sleep if she wasn't laying on her father's chest or being fed by Kirian.

The soft baby blanket had nearly been kicked off by the little girls tiny feet, stretching and kicking out fully now that she wasn't confined inside of her mothers womb. She was already trying to turn over on her own but she was still too tiny. Her eyes were starting to lighten now that she had come into the world. A lighter shade of grey, due to the genetics of her father's light blue eyes lightening the darkness of hers. Her complexion began to do the opposite, as she had come into the world very fair, having been a premi. Her complexion was beginning to even out as a mixture of both her parents heritage, much lighter than her mother, but only a few shades darker than her father. Her head full of soft silky mocha black hair was already a inch long in waves as she turned her head to look up at her mother standing over her.

Kirian reached in slowly, picking the baby girl up with gentle care as she continued to squirm and wiggled as babies do. She cradled her in her arms, letting the strap of her nightgown fall as she sat down next to the grib, exposing a breast so she could feed the little girl. Alourdes was greedy just like her mother and wasted no time suckling her dinner as Kirian gently rubbed the little girls soft little chubby cheeks with one finger, she was still surprised at how soft and tiny she was in her arms, having never held a baby before it made her extra protective of Alourdes as she rocked her gently. Alourdes would grip Kirian's finger with her very tiny little fingers, making Kirian giggle as she rubbed her little girls hand. "Sooo tiny.. you're just like me, but you're perfect. All your little toes and fingers, so cute I want to nomnom.." she cooed playfully at her daughter, pretending to nom on Alourdes's little fingers as Kirian brought them to her lips and made the noming noise quietly.

Alourdes would stop drinking every so often to make what might be some of her first attempts of laughing, as she didn't understand what her mother was doing but it amused her much. She made a tiny grunt before going back to drinking her mothers milk, still hooked on watching Kirian's antics of pretending to nom her little hand. Kirian then stopped for a moment as she saw Alourdes closing her eyes, already in preparation to head back to sleep as babies sleep most of the day when first born. Kirian wanted to hold her awhile longer, pulling the nipple gently from her mouth as she had obviously fallen asleep quickly, with her mouth open. Kirian snickered lightly thinking that she looked just like her father when hes had a bit to drink and crashes on the bed. Kirian reached to the crib, pulling the baby towel off of it to sling it over her shoulder as she lifted the baby up to her chest now, resting her against her as she gently patted Alourdes back, knowing she would burp soon which she did promptly.

She stood up and walked the baby towards the crib, gently setting her down onto the soft folds of the baby blanket. She laid her on her tummy and pulled the blanket just up to her bottom as she gently rubbed the little girls back who was now sound asleep, curled up with her bottom in the air a bit since her legs were still getting used to being outside of the womb. Kirian was so proud of their little girl as she looked down into the crib. She knew it was time for her to begin her training if she was to get strong enough to protect her family. She also had Santana's words etched into her brain. The day she had been kidnapped, Santana had come to her with the prediction from Angul. Kirian was furious at her big sister for even catering to someone out to get their child but Kirian couldn't deny that the prediction was right on the money. How could he have known that she would go into premature labor due to the stress.

Kirian was too exhausted to tell it all to Everic the day it happened, once Alourdes was born she had forgotten about what Santana had told her of Anguls' predictions but now she knew something had to be done. Their daughter was indeed born on that fateful day.. who was to say that they wouldn't also go down in a hail of fire against a battalion of Imperials. It was too much to handle alone, she needed her husband to know what she knew. She knew he was very smart and if anyone could think of a strategic plan, it would be her husband. She trusted him with her life as well as the life of their daughter and now, hers and his fate were up in the air according to Santana.

Meanwhile, back on the Mantis, Santana had snuck out of bed, very early after a long night of passionate love making with Angul. She wore nothing but a long white t shirt, which she had grabbed off of the chair near her desk and pulled on over her head in haste. She ran her fingers back through her hair and twisted her hair up into a messy ponytail before creeping her way over to the door. She stopped for a moment, turning to look back at this man laying in her bed. She blinked a few times before scurrying across the room to the door. She hadn't been with a man since she had thought she was in love with the General, but this time it felt different not to say that was a good thing.

She looked back into the room to see if he was still asleep before she stepped through the bulkhead door of her quarters and headed down the stairs, trying to quietly move her bare feet across the cold metal of her ship floor. She was making her way to Supoon's workshop, since he wasn't there she could sit around and tinker which is what she would do when she needed to think.
She had never slept with someone without thinking at least that she was in love but she knew clearly this was not love.. this was pure lust. It was just as the little demonic voices had taunted her.

"Just one night.. " she whispered to herself softly, grabbing some of the tools off of the work table as she walked to the work bench, sitting down slowly so that she shirt covered her ass. She looked at the prototype of a new blaster she had been working on, her mind was far from completing it as she tinkered around, still thinking about Angul. She was remembering when Ghazan had told her to get the implant, at the time she had thought he just didn't want children with things so hectic at the Rank and the conspiracy surrounding Thrax, but now that she thought about it, he didn't want a human born Chiss, dirtied with her blood. She began to feel like a tool again as she stabbed at the bolt which was stuck on the blaster, the last piece she needed to remove insert a new module before she was finished with the prototype. "Shit.. I'm such a idiot.." she grumbled, slamming the prototype down onto the work table, then shoving everything off of the table as she went to grab her hair, stressfully rubbing her forehead with both elbows on the table. The prototype fell apart after impacting on the ground but it was the last thing on her mind as she sat at the workbench frowning to herself.

"It'd be better if I just kept my distance. I don't ever want to fall in love again.. the Sex was amazing but.. I can't do it anymore.".She seemed to be fighting with herself, knowing that everything has probably gone according to Anguls plan but she knew she had to keep focus, she wanted him for that one night, her loins couldn't handle it anymore but now that she had gotten what she wanted, she wasn't sure if it was too late to turn back. Was she a traitor against her sister? She didn't know.. was she beginning to fall for Angul, she had felt something when she was in his arms. His body so warm and inviting against hers, it was almost like a dream but she'd had a similar dream before and that was all it was then, just a dream. She didn't want to spend another second stuck in a sleeping state of fooling herself. She'd need to keep a better lid on her emotions if she didn't want to become just another tool again, fooled into feeling love that only went one way. She would convince herself that the night had just been sex, two individuals, lusting after each other.. nothing less, nothing more.
