A Powerful Sith Lord in the Making
Docked in a hangar at the Kwenn Orbital Station, Santana had just taken a sleep stim to make it easier for her to fall asleep. She had recently returned from Ilum after her crew brought her back to Kwenn for Medical treatment in a Kolto tank after an explosion nearly took her and her squad out. Everyone made it back alive but many were injured severely. Santana was one of the lucky ones.
She was almost sound asleep when the security protocols began the alert indicating there was someone in the perimeter of her ship and moving to the door of her ship. After accessing the surveillance and seeing that it was Kirian, she immediately headed down to let her sister in. She was clad in nothing more than a a cut off t-shirt and some shorts as she yawned and headed down to open the door for her sister. It was a unexpected surprise for such a very late night but she was glad to see Kirian since they hadn't been in much contact after Santana had sent Kirian to find Sair. Santana was anxious to see how things we're working out for her sister as she quickly scanned the secruity panel receptor to make it unlock the hatch with the infrared in her eye.
Despite being half sleep, Santana was smiling from ear to ear to see her sister and finally get the scoop on how her training had been going. The smile quickly faded as Kirian came into view. The first thing Santana noticed were the gold flecks which had began forming in Kirian's eyes. She was all too familiar with them and the trouble it took to stop it from happening to herself.
She took notice that Kirians hands were balled up at her sides and she seemed to be shaking with anger, enough so that Santana nearly took a step back from her. Kirian looked up at Santana, her face appeared to have several emotions running through it at once but Santana didn't have enough chance to even ask what was wrong before Kirian quickly stepped foward and hugged her tightly, burying her face in Santana's chest just as she used to do when she would cry as a child. She mumbled "Lumnesh" as she began to sob in her sisters bosom.
Santana looked down at her, then wrapped her arms around Kirian to help her inside. After seeing the gold flecks in her eyes and knew it was the beginning of corruption but she couldn't understand why this was happening. The door shut and locked behind them as she rubbed Kirian's back comfortingly. "Hey hey.. what's all this. You told me, you weren't a crybaby anymore.." Santana said jokingly as she rested her chin on top of Kirian's head, she could feel her shaking in her arms and it began to worry Santana even more.
Kirian realized she was probably worrying her sister as she stared up into concerned expression on her face. She pulled back a bit then quickly reached up to wipe the tears from both her cheeks, she sniffled to quickly clear her nose then laughed as she ran past Santana as if they were playing tag like when they were children.
Santana watched as Kirian ran by her and up the stairs. She could tell something was wrong but they had been in agreement to never speak about their business affairs. She could tell by Kiri's deameanor that she was not going to tell her what was wrong without her prying despite their previous agreement.
"Hey, wait a minute!" Santana called after Kiri and then broke into her own dash to follow her sister up to her quaters. She came to a jogging halt in the doorway once she saw Kiri curled up in her bed, hugging a pillow tightly so that her face was hidden.Santana ran her hand down her own face warily as she stepped inside. She could almost feel the seething murky energies strongly emitting from her sister, it was as if she smelled like death and Santana could hardly recognize her. She approached slowly, climbing onto the bed despite the indications that Kiri was about to blow up, she could still see her as the 9 year old crying as she used to when a toy would be broken. She appeared just the same as she did back then to Santana at that very moment.
"Hey..what's the big idea?" she said as she climbed into the bed behind Kiri, getting close and wrapping her arms around her gently, she squeezed her sister to herself lovingly, as she snuggled her up just as they would do back when they were slaves. To her surprise, Kirian rolled over to hide her face against her chest once again. She made no intention to speak but Santana could feel the tears beginning to soak through her shirt. "You're starting to make me worry, do you want to stop training or something? Is.. is it something to do with your work?" she asked cautiously. Kirian not answering was answer enough for Santana as she gritted her teeth, and continued to stroke Kiri's back to calm her down. "Ok ok, I know we said we won't discuss work, but you better tell me if something is wrong. You don't have to go through with anything you don't want to.. you don't have to become a Sith Lord.. "
Kirian sat up immediately and shook her head. The look on her face worried Santana even more as she could see clear evidence of her sister evolving into something that.. wasn't Kirian. "No.. I will become a Sith Lord! I have to.. there's no choice.. " she seemed to be rambling as everything was clashing in Kiri's mind. She was trying to sort it out in her brain but she couldn't, nothing made sense. Santana could see that it looked like Kiri hadn't slept in days, and she could smell the several times dried blood on Kiri's boots even from at the end of her bed on the floor. She was beginning to wonder if she had Sair all wrong. It was apparent that her sister had been on a murder binge like no other, and recently too. "Listen to me, Kirian.." she said as she cupped Kiri's face in her hands and looked directly into her eyes despite the gold flecks of corruption beginning to brew her soul.
"You remember why you became Sith, right? It was not to become a Sith Lord.. You said you wanted to protect something". Kirian tried to turn her face away as she thought about what Santana was saying. Santana wanted to make her point clearly heard as she knew she was Kirian's only guardian left. She turned Kirian's face sternly. "Look at me, I said -look- at me Kirian..". Kirian turned her eyes to look back at Santana, she had calmed down some, hearing how serious her big sister had gotten. "You wanted to protect Keeli and Me.. Keeli may be gone but I'm right here.. and I'm strong, and together, you and I, we are stronger. You don't need to continue with this.. "
"But.. there are people like Taelios.. who can hurt you and.. how can I stop now when I can't even save Master from... " she trailed off, shaking her head away from Santana's grip. She knew she had already said too much.
Santana smirked and grabbed ahold of Kirian much to her surprise, she dragged her down onto the bed and hugged her tight, she had heard what Kiri said but decided against prying futher as she saw how upset she was getting. "Look, from the look on your face, I can sorta tell what you may be feeling which is why I told you.. knucklehead, not to fall for Sair. I told you he was a old perv didn't I?" Kirian pouted and looked up at her, pressing her lips together tightly, it was the indicator for Santana that she was correct as she shook her head at her little sister. "Boy, if I had known you would have gotten a crush on the old man, I wouldn't have sent you his way, but he did get your cybernetics fixed."
Santana continued stroking Kirian's back as she began to feel some of the tension releasing from her body. She was glad she was still able to calm Kiri down but she knew she was going to want to speak with Sair later. Kirian looked up at Santana, resting her arm across Santana's waist as she got more comfortable."I... am not in love with my Master. I just.. I don't know. I can't talk about it, Lumnesh. You should know how it is.. " she said softly, noozling her face against Santana's boobs as if they were her own pillows to control and once she was comfy enough she closed her eyes.
Santana squirmed lightly as she was always slightly tickled by Kirian's snuggles. She sighed as she finally settled down in her arms and also closed her eyes. "Well, whatever the case is, you remember what I said. You don't need to become a Sith Lord to become powerful. And Sair is a Darth, he should be able to take care of himself, you need to worry about yourself." Santana said as she was beginning to also fall back asleep.
Kirian remained silent but her mind weighed heavy with the thoughts of everything she had found out and what it would mean if things weren't as she was trying to fool herself into believing. She only managed to fall asleep from pure exhaustion. Santana had stayed awake with her eyes closed, listening until she felt Kiri's body go limp against her own. She opened her eyes slowly and looked down at her little sister sadly, she was beginning to feel like she was letting Keeli down in regards to taking care of their youngest sibling. It was not too long before she too drifted off to sleep and it would be how the two sisters remained until the crack of dawn.
Kirian tossed and turned most of the night, but the meds Santana had taken prior to Kirian's arrival made it nearly impossible to disturb her slumber.Kirian knew that Santana was off duty for the next day or so, and that she had been injured on Ilum so she knew there was no chance that Santana would wake up early which is why Kirian used that as a opportnuty to slip off of the Mantis. She left a holocom message behind for her sister to find on her bedstand. The message read "I must get stronger, to protect the ones I care for. Please don't be upset, Lumnesh. Oh yeah, I took your lunch. Love you.".
