It was about 5am, Nar Shaddaa time when Kirian woke up. She slowly opened her eyes as her senses began to come back to her after a long night of deep sleep. It had been 3 years since Kiri and her sisters had to go their seperate ways and 3 years since she had slept all the way through the night comfortably save for being unconscious after a hard battle. She was laying against something warm and solid, no.. it was someone. The faint sound of a strong but calm heartbeat was slowly coming into her consciousness. She laid prone against Everic's body with her own, her leg hooked over his and her arm resting across his lower torso. The memory of the night before came back to her as her mind woke up more.
"Oh... I had that horrible nightmare, I woke up feeling so disturbed and vulnerable.. I called Everic and... yes he said he would come by after he finished up some work. He came like he said he would.." she thought to herself as moved her hand from around his waist and rested it on his stomach.She couldn't remember the details of the nightmare but she remembered clearly the feeling she felt as if something had tried to erase Everic from her and her from him, and she could feel his despair and it only made her own despair grow. She was glad he came, she couldn't keep popping up at Santana's ship every time she had a bad dream. Except, this didn't feel like her normal bad dreams, this one had a lingering to it as if she was having the dream through the force.
She began to move her head around, her cheek slid across his chest as she moved slowly, not wanting to wake him if he was still sleep. She only had to raise her face a few inchs to see that Everic was still sound asleep and still holding her in his arms. It made her smile happilly as she laid her head back down on his chest gently, listening again to the sound of his heart beating, it seemed to sooth her enough to make her close her eyes again, wanting to savor the moment a little longer.
She was remembering his surprise confession earlier in the week. It had completely caught her off guard. She had felt something for him since they had been working together but she was too young to know what to call it because she had assumed she was in love with Sair. The kind Master who had saved her life from the brink of expiration not once but twice and had helped her regain freedom over her own body again, which she couldn't claim with her previous botched cybernetics.
Kirian was finally beginning to see the light in her sisters words. Santana had told her that she was probably feeling indebted to Pax since he had done something big for her, which was the cause for her over-emotional tendencies coupled with her over-protectiveness with those she had gotten close to.Her jealousy also didn't help much and she had began to think Sair had lied and she really had been replaced by Eirwynn. It didn't matter.. she ended up getting more time to spend with Everic, getting to know him more as they got through impossible situations. Kirian sighed softly as she thought about the prospect of being nicer to Eirwynn, if she was to be the woman to make her master happy, she did not want to push Eir away and become the woman to make Sair sad.
Kirian decided to get Eirwynn some sort of peace offering gift and maybe go so far as to apologize for being purposely rude but the thought would only go so far as she changed her mind and decided purchasing a gift is as far as she'd go. She still was not comfortable with hobnobbing with her Master's lover. She blushed as she also realized Everic had saved her life as well on more than one occassion. She smirked lightly and rubbed his chest gently, soothing him as she saw him take a deep breath in his sleep, she was hoping he was having good dreams as her own thoughts went back to the weeks events.
Though she had been fawning over her Master, she also had realized she was beginning to feel things for Everic. She had wanted to keep her feelings for Everic hidden, as she had seen his debonair ways of wooing woman to get their objectives done. She had already been hurt enough when she found out that Sair only saw her as a daughter figure, a mere child she didn't know what she would do with herself if she found out that Everic was just using one of his faces to get Imperial work done.
She knew it would crush her so she kept on plotting in her mind ways to chase Sair, plans she never launched because she knew in the back of her mind he would never see her as anything other than what he told her. Everything completely changed the night Everic and her first made love. She was frightened at first, she knew she was a amateur and she had a feeling Everic was not. She was also slightly concerned with her stature and size compared to his but to her surprise he was very gentle with her and he did not put her through more pain than she could take and she loved him for taking care to make sure her first time was not a wild savagery. She snicked softly recalling a separate occasion where she did not afford him the same pleasantries but he seemed to quite enjoy himself none-the less.
She moved her hand from her mouth and rested it back on Everic's stomach as she finally calmed her snickers down. She was again recalling when he took her into his arms and confessed. She remembered looking deep into his blue eyes and actually feeling him emanate his love for her through the force as he spoke the words "I love you. Kirian". She had never felt such emotions in her entire life and it gripped her heart at that very moment and she knew she loved him as well.
She sighed softly, with a smirk on her face as she thought about how foolish she had been for crushing over a man almost 3 times her age. "I was a fool.." she whispered softly. She had never known what it felt like to be in love. She had only known the infatuation and the feeling of it not being returned but love was in her arms and she could even feel it as he slept. She pressed her lips against his chest and kissed above his heart before laying her head back down and falling back asleep. "I love you too" she whispered softly as she fell back into slumber.
